RUNNING LATE

I'm late, I'm late for my challenge-reveal blog post!

Last week's challenge with +LaDenna Lawrence  was to use a wreath and flip flops.  

I put bling and flowers from the $ Store on mine.

I chose a wire wreath and had a time getting the flip flops to stick.   I wired the mesh onto wreath.   First, I hot glued the flips but they didn't want to stay, so I wired them also.  They are on-for now. Lol

Yes-I do need to find some smaller yellow flip flops. These were all they had that day.

I've decided to start posting LaDenna's projects too. It will show you our different takes on things.   Sometimes,  we are on the same page and then other times, so not! Lol

This week's challenge is to make 5 cards-Mother's Day/any occasion.

AND.....

we have to do something with this little balsa box that we both have. I'm  thinking a tag box or something along those lines.

BOX CHALLENGE

This week's challenge with +LaDenna Lawrence  was to use a wooden box and Mini Books Cricut cart to make an album to go in it.  I am pleased with the way mine turned out.  I made it to keep Baby Emma's pic of her first year in.  I did my great grandson an album for the same.

  

 I decoupaged the outside with scrapbooking paper and blinged it up.

 I made an accordion album from the cartridge.  I love that cart!  No more tedious measuring! lol

I really like this paper line from Mary & Co.  Very girly!

Next week's challenge is to use a wire wreath and flip flops.  This will be fun!  I've seen several that I like. The only hard part will be to decide how I want to do it!  

I also made this framed saying this week.  I re-purposed a 5x7" frame and decorated it with handmade flowers, bling and a charm.  I thought it turned out rather cute.

BUSY!!

What a busy week I have going on (which makes for a lot of cleaning of the craft room! )

I'm still working on the mini domino pendants.  They should be ready to post in a couple of days.

I posted my completed challenge projects on my FB page (PJs Treasures). I will also share the pics here. These were all fun projects to make.  The first is a wreath we made side by side when I visited +LaDenna Lawrence  last month. They turned out beautiful!

We used a straw wreath and wire floral pins to attach the different colors of mesh. The eggs were cut with a Cricut and blinged up.  Mine is now hanging on my front door.

One of our monthly challenges is to make greeting cards for the upcoming holiday. We did St. Pat's Day the 1st of the month and Easter this week. I kept mine simple since I had so much going on. I send mine to my children and grandchildren.  I always include little surprises.


We also had two frames to decorate.  I chose to make sun catchers to hang in a window. I love the flag one. However, as you can see in the pics, the glue has not completely cured.  I sold a flag one as soon as I posted it!  That's very exciting to me! A fellow artisan purchased it to put in her craft studio which is Americana decor.

This one I just did on a whim. I I used the materials I had on hand.

I am also finishing up some ATC cards I'm doing for a swap.  The theme? COFFEE!  Anyone that knows me knows I LOVE my coffee! Lol I will post them when I'm finished.

So there you have a run down on my crafting activities this week. The time has flown by but as "they" say-"Time flies when you're having fun". And I have thoroughly enjoyed time spent in my "happy place".
