AWESOME CHALLENGE RESULTS!

It's been over a week since my last post.  I was on a mini vacation at +LaDenna Lawrence 's in Amarillo.  We had a great time as usual-eating, crafting, shopping and laughing.
I've also been working on updating my "Where I Party" page.  I haven't figured out the html stuff yet and don't know how to make all my buttons uniform so I ended up doing links. It will have to do until I learn a little more!

While at LaDenna's we did several side-by-side challenges. It's always interesting to see what each of us do using the same materials.
We got new Cricut cartridges and made cards.  Neither of us had ever made window cards; but they came out so pretty!!  We used Creative Cards and Wild Cards 2.

I love the way these bird cage window cards turned out!

My favorite of the above window cards is Santa peeking through the window!  (oops-got it in there twice!)

This is an altered Altoid tin.  Again, I used my new cartridge.

We went "shopping" in LaDenna's garage and found some old frames.  I made the birdcage (I love them lately!) from the new cart.  I can already see this cartridge is going to be used a LOT!
The 'shelf' is painted and glittered cardboard.

And I think this is my favorite piece of all!  As most of you know-I LOVE coffee!  This will be perfect in my kitchen once I get it painted!  Love it!!!

Here are a few of LaDenna's items so that you can see our different perceptions of each project.

This is her Altoid tin.  I love the lady!

One of her re-cycled frames.  This turned out super cute!!

And the other re-cycled frame.  We both did coffee projects; but they are so totally different!

Next week's challenge was chosen by LaDenna:

This should be INTERESTING!!

Thank you SO much for stopping by and letting me share our crafts with you!

YET ANOTHER CHALLENGE REVEAL!!

Friday already!  Time flies when you're having fun-I guess.  lol

I visited my friend, +LaDenna Lawrence  this past weekend.  We always have a blast!  We do a lot of visiting, laughing and crafting.

For our side by side challenges, we chose to use food boxes, trays from $1 Store and paper.  We do our best to use what we have on hand.  We do a lot of re-purposing.

These are the boxes we used.  The base is made from cardboard.

I made mine to hold the TV remotes.  The papers I chose are movie themed from the Paper Studio Kellerkurtz & Company paper pack.  I love this whole pack!!  You will be seeing a lot of it!

I attached paper cut outs to some paper medallions for decoration.

 Side view.

This is a tablet made from chip board.  We used LaDenna's new Cinch to bind it.  I have to have one!  I have a Bind It All but I really like the Cinch.

This is the Bind It All like mine.

And this is the Cinch!  I'm going to look for one in pink and trade LaDenna-her room is pink and mine is turquoise.  : )

This wall hanging is made from a silver tray purchased from the $1 Store. I sectioned it so I could use different papers from my new stack.  The embellishments came from my friend +Suzanne Thomas who lives in Tasmania!  She makes the most awesome cards and other fun paper crafts!  Take a peek at her page and tell her Pam sent you!  ABBY AND ALBITS SCRAPPIN SHACK   Thank you Suzanne for all the bits!  : )

One of these butterflies is a magnet.

And this is a mini cork board.

These are several cards that we made. They are very simple but pretty.

Next week's challenge will be to make 5 Christmas ornaments using our Cricuts and card stock/paper.

So glad you took time out of your busy day to stop by!

HERE IT IS......

LAST WEEK'S CHALLENGE REVEAL!!

I visited my friend, +LaDenna Lawrence,  last week and we completed so many great projects!  I couldn't wait to get them posted!  Everything we used for the projects was re-recyclable except for a 'book' that we purchased for less than $2.
(This is a long post but is photo heavy.)

The booklets are made from scrap cardboard.

I love this card!  We used our Cricuts to cut the images.

LaDenna found 2 of these frames in her garage.  We made cork boards for Christmas gifts.

This little pretty is made from a large tuna can!  Very simple to make and would make great little gifts!

This letter-well, let's say I will not attempt it again!  lol  We started with a cardboard base and built it with Dixie cups.  Yes, Dixie cups!  Wrapping the circle on the P was a challenge.  I used craft paper, then crepe paper streamers.  And I finished it off with a print scrapbook paper and a LOT of Mod Podge.  I do like how it turned out after I got it decorated; but it was definitely a challenge!

I want to do more of these stars.  It is a couple of pages of scrapbook paper and some tissue paper in the middle to help hold the  shape.  The flowers were cut with the Cricut.

Halloween!  We got our inspiration from a paper crafts magazine.  (I can't remember the name of it)  The tags and cards are simple yet very pretty.

These Christmas cards are stunning!  The pic doesn't do them justice.  They are made from glitter paper and the cuts are made with the Cricut.  These are very simple but make a big impact.  I can't wait to send these out this year!

This hanging JOY sign and card holder were made entirely of paper and a little lace and bling.  It's is surprising what you can do with paper!!

This one still needs a little work.  We got paper mache books on sale at Hobby Lobby for half price (less than $2).  They are papered and have a tray that pulls up for extra storage.  I'm going to put a pocket on it, add a pen and use it for my Christmas lists!

To see LaDenna's take on these projects, you can visit her at:
LADENNA  She did an awesome job!!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to visit and view my crafts.  This is what keep me going-well, and my grandkids!  These three came to visit this week:
 Baby Emma and Mom, Mallory.

Baby Emma and Carson.
PRECIOUS!

Have a wonderful Friday and happy crafting!

MONEY DOES GROW ON TREES-Challenge Reveal

The following cards were made for my weekly craft challenge with +LaDenna Lawrence .  Since it's July, we are doing Christmas in July.  I'm going to spend the week with her next week making Christmas gifts and crafts.

I found a card similar to these on Pinterest made by HERO ARTS.  There are several cute money cards on their blog.

Inside of money tree cards.

I absolutely love kraft paper.  I haven't done much with it up until now and have started using it in several projects.  I cut these deer with my Cricut "Winter Woodland" cartridge and glittered and blinged them up!

I stamped silver snowflakes inside and stamped the sentiments on card stock.

This is another one made from kraft paper.  I cut the snowflake from the "Winter Woodland" cartridge.  The scallops are from a 1" circle punch.  I made matching envelopes by stamping silver snowflakes.

Here is LaDenna's take on our cards.  She also used the "Winter Woodland" and cut the cards and added layers.  I didn't even know that cartridge did cards like that!  Learn something new every day!  lol

I am in Day 10 of my Blog A Day challenge.  And it HAS been a CHALLENGE!  lol  Only 20 more days to go!
Next week will be the real challenge-I will be on vacation and mobile-so it's going to be harder to post.   but I will do the best I can!

Thank you all for stopping by!
