AWESOME CHALLENGE RESULTS!

It's been over a week since my last post.  I was on a mini vacation at +LaDenna Lawrence 's in Amarillo.  We had a great time as usual-eating, crafting, shopping and laughing.
I've also been working on updating my "Where I Party" page.  I haven't figured out the html stuff yet and don't know how to make all my buttons uniform so I ended up doing links. It will have to do until I learn a little more!

While at LaDenna's we did several side-by-side challenges. It's always interesting to see what each of us do using the same materials.
We got new Cricut cartridges and made cards.  Neither of us had ever made window cards; but they came out so pretty!!  We used Creative Cards and Wild Cards 2.

I love the way these bird cage window cards turned out!

Inside of cards

My favorite of the above window cards is Santa peeking through the window!  (oops-got it in there twice!)

This is an altered Altoid tin.  Again, I used my new cartridge.

We went "shopping" in LaDenna's garage and found some old frames.  I made the birdcage (I love them lately!) from the new cart.  I can already see this cartridge is going to be used a LOT!
The 'shelf' is painted and glittered cardboard.

And I think this is my favorite piece of all!  As most of you know-I LOVE coffee!  This will be perfect in my kitchen once I get it painted!  Love it!!!

Here are a few of LaDenna's items so that you can see our different perceptions of each project.

This is her Altoid tin.  I love the lady!

One of her re-cycled frames.  This turned out super cute!!

And the other re-cycled frame.  We both did coffee projects; but they are so totally different!

Next week's challenge was chosen by LaDenna:

This should be INTERESTING!!

Thank you SO much for stopping by and letting me share our crafts with you!

MONDAY AT THE SHOP

Morning!  Monday already-WoW.  Where does the time go?
I had a good weekend with family.  Had great success with my first
SHAMELESS PLUG SATURDAY.  Met a lot of new artisans and viewed a lot of beautiful things!  I'm hoping to do another one in October/November with a Christmas theme.  Thanks again to all those who participated!

Today, I wanted to share a few of my latest listings.  I just recently learned to do these-they were a swap in one of my groups.  Now I'm hooked!

This is the first one I made for the swap.  It goes to a lady that loves coffee as much as I do!  lol

This is the front.  I used vintage 1x2" wooden dominoes. I decoupaged the paper on the front and back.

 This is the back.

This is the side view.  It's tied on both sides with ribbon.

 It's an accordion-style mini album-very mini! lol
This is the 'front'.  I stamped and embossed the coffee cups and then put print outs that I purchased in between them.

This is the 'back'.  This is scrapbooking paper that I purchased from Hobby Lobby. ( My favorite store in the world!) I embossed gold coffee beans on it.

These minis will hold what I call 'thumb-print' photos.  I think on a printer they are actually called contact photos.  They are approximately 1x 3/4".

This is the second one I made.  I'm learning what to and not to do on them!!

I love this sewing theme!

The next one is Halloween themed.  It turned out really cute!

 ============================================

Last, but not least, is the one I received in the swap.  Thank you Emma, for getting me started making these!  : )

 I love all the bling!!

Thanks for coming by and looking at my newest creations!  I will be posting Christmas themed domino minis soon!

FRIDAY'S 5 FAVES

WOOHOO-FRIDAY!!

I hope everyone had a good and safe 4th!
========================================
In keeping with my regular blog schedule, I'm going to do my week's five favorite things.  And, once again, I get to incorporate my Photo A Day challenge over at FAT MUM SLIM's in with it.

1.  I accepted two 30-day challenges.  Blog A Day over at
DELECTABLY DAWN's and the above mentioned Photo A Day.

2.  I learned to do some new things to my blog, ie. some html!  That excites me because I don't understand it AT ALL!

3.  Fourth of July.  I had a very quiet one; but I put out my flag, my wreath and other decor.  I am forever thankful for our country the the men and women who have fought to keep it free.  My oldest son is a DAV.  I'm very proud of his service.  My youngest son is a Sgt in the Army and is stationed in S. Korea.

4.  Now for my fave photo. Our PHOTO PROMPT for today (day 5, I started 2 days late) is "LOVE".
I took this pic a couple of months ago.
This is my granddaughter, Mallory, and my great granddaughter Emma.  This is LOVE.

5.  ONE of my fave pins:
It's a blog run by two ladies "who have no idea of what they are doing with their lives....."  You won't regret paying them a visit!
==================================

And I can't forget my COFFEE LOVE!  I have met a few people this week who love coffee as much as I do!  lol  "Any friend of coffee is a friend of mine!"

Thank you all for taking time out of your busy day to visit me!

FRIDAY'S 5 FAVES #5

Friday again!

Where did the week go?!   I have been busy but haven't accomplished much!  lol

On Fridays I post my 5 favorite things from the week.  These include a favorite pin and a favorite pic.  Also, if you know me, you know I love coffee.  Therefore, I have my "Coffee Love" post.

So! Onward....

1.  We bought new furniture!  Although I don't love leather, that's what we got.  Hoping it will last a few years!

2.  Got my vacation finalized to go visit and craft with my friend, +LaDenna Lawrence, who lives in Amarillo, Texas.   I go once a month, a week in July and a week before Christmas.   We do lots of shopping, crafting and laughing!

3.  And again this week, I got to keep my great granddaughter while MoM and DaD worked.  She is so much fun and is such a good baby!
Isn't this the sweetest little face?!  Baby Emma.

4.  My fave pin was a Mississippi Pot Roast.  I made this the first of the week and it was awesome!  I will be doing this one more!

5.  My fave pics are usually of my family.
This is my son and grandson. My son and his family are stationed in South Korea.  This pic was taken at an amusement park there.  It makes me smile everytime I look at it!  lol
This is all three of them- Serena, Adam and Jayden. : )

COFFEE LOVE!

That is it for this week!
I wish I knew how to put a linky on here so everyone could post their week's fave.  I will learn-there is SO much to learn about the blogging world!

FRIDAY'S 5 FAVES (2)

Good morning!  It's Friday and time for my favorite 5 things of this week.  I hope everyone had a great week and will have a wonderful weekend!
With that being said, I will get started!

1.  Cookout on Memorial Day.  Had a good day with kids and grandkids. We had burgers, chips, summer salads, cheesecake and brownies!  Yummo!

My granddaughter Mallory, Andrew and Baby Emma

Granddaughter Brittney and great grandson Carson
 Daughter Kari and Emma
 Carson and Emma
 Waldorf Salad (I love this)
Kari made this watermelon, feta, mint salad. (Very good!)
And here's my messy cheesecake.  I added a layer of chocolate between crust and filling.  (It wasn't great)

2.  I received a goodie box from a girl in one of the groups I am in. She was de-stashing and all I had to do was pay postage-$12!   OMGoodness!  I could not believe what all I got!  I never expected so much!
Tons of stickers, word art, ribbon, flowers and PAPER!  I love all the gorgeous paper!

3.  Another good thing this week was that the bad weather avoided us. There were threats of tornadoes for three days-and we did NOT need anymore destruction.
AND the benefit concert that Blake Shelton hosted was awesome! It was held in OKC and sold out in less that an hour! The proceeds went to help Oklahoma tornado victims.  We have a lot of great music artists from Oklahoma-Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Garth Brooks, Toby Keith and many more.

4.  My favorite pic of the week:
My great grandson Carson.
It is SO hard to get him to smile while looking at a camera.  This is a little forced but oh so cute!  lol

5. My favorite pin of the week (among SO many!):
I love rag quilts.  I have made a few of them.  This one is next on my list!
See pin on Pinterest.

That wraps up my 5 faves for the week. But here is my weekly coffee pic!  I love coffee! lol

Thank you all for stopping by!
