MONDAY AT THE SHOP

Morning!  Monday already-WoW.  Where does the time go?
I had a good weekend with family.  Had great success with my first
SHAMELESS PLUG SATURDAY.  Met a lot of new artisans and viewed a lot of beautiful things!  I'm hoping to do another one in October/November with a Christmas theme.  Thanks again to all those who participated!

Today, I wanted to share a few of my latest listings.  I just recently learned to do these-they were a swap in one of my groups.  Now I'm hooked!

This is the first one I made for the swap.  It goes to a lady that loves coffee as much as I do!  lol

This is the front.  I used vintage 1x2" wooden dominoes. I decoupaged the paper on the front and back.

 This is the back.

This is the side view.  It's tied on both sides with ribbon.

 It's an accordion-style mini album-very mini! lol
This is the 'front'.  I stamped and embossed the coffee cups and then put print outs that I purchased in between them.

This is the 'back'.  This is scrapbooking paper that I purchased from Hobby Lobby. ( My favorite store in the world!) I embossed gold coffee beans on it.

These minis will hold what I call 'thumb-print' photos.  I think on a printer they are actually called contact photos.  They are approximately 1x 3/4".

This is the second one I made.  I'm learning what to and not to do on them!!

I love this sewing theme!

The next one is Halloween themed.  It turned out really cute!

Last, but not least, is the one I received in the swap.  Thank you Emma, for getting me started making these!  : )

 I love all the bling!!

Thanks for coming by and looking at my newest creations!  I will be posting Christmas themed domino minis soon!

BABY BOY.....

....FRAMED MINI ALBUM.

I just completed this mini album today!  I posted the Baby Girl one here:  BABY GIRL MINI

I just love making these framed albums.  I think they are really nice sitting on a table or mantle to display the photos instead of being in a book or drawer (like most of mine!  lol)

This is what it looks like sitting on my desk.  This is a 4x6" re-purposed frame.

I embellished the frame with Cricut cuts and buttons.

There are several pages for photos and journaling.

Here you can record the baby's birth statistics.

Some of the pages have a dual purpose.  You can journal on the tag and put a photo underneath.

This page is a decorative page.

 Another dual purpose page.

This is the last page-space for a photo plus a journaling tag.

I absolutely love how both of the baby albums turned out!
I wish I had known these things when my children were babies!
I will be making a few of these to keep on hand for shower, birthday and Christmas gifts!

Thank you for stopping by!

BABY GIRL....

FRAMED MINI ALBUM.

I made this cute mini album a few weeks ago.  It would be perfect to set out to display the new baby's photos.  I am currently working on a baby boy one which I will post when its completed.

This is the front of the mini album.  It's a 4x6" area for the album itself.

I embellished it with lots of flowers and bling.  What girl doesn't like bling?!

The are a lot of places for photos and journaling.

This is a photo mat that comes out leaving a space for yet another photo/journal.

The journal tag comes out leaving another space for a photo.

This is the last page.  A photo slips behind the little tag to hold it in.

I really like the way this turned out.  I think it's nice to be able to set your photos out to be viewed instead of being in a book or drawer (like a lot of mine!  lol)

Thanks for coming by to see my newest creation!

CHALLENGE TIME!

Better late than never!  Although I didn't get finished, we went ahead with the reveal.  When I visited last week with +LaDenna Lawrence  we started this challenge as a side by side one. Then I brought it home and we finished separately.

The challenge was to use a block of Styrofoam (I wish I had a pic).  And we had to make a mini album to go with it.
This is the front of the "book".  I glossy accented the butterflies and glittered the flowers.  Still have some work to do on it before it's done.

We carved out a place to put the mini album.  I still have some embellishing to do throughout.
This is the album inside.  Tonight was the first time I put the album inside and TRIED to close the book.  Epic fail!  It wouldn't close-the flower is too bulky.  So, back to the drawing board!  lol
This is the cover of the album.

The following are a few of the pages.  Like I said, still a lot of work to do on it.  I will post a follow-up when I complete it.

This week was also our monthly card challenge.  Since we do a month ahead, this month we did 4th of July cards.  I always make cards to send to my grandkids on all the holidays.  That's where these are going with a little surprise tucked inside.

I do like how these turned out.  In the pics you can't see how sparkly they are.  I used Cricut cuts to embellish.

Next week's challenge (my choice) consists of using stove burner pans (1 and/or 2) and Cricut cuts to decorate them.
This will be interesting!  Join me back next Thursday for the reveal!  : )

As always, thank you for taking the time to stop by.  It's always nice having visitors and comments!
Have a wonder weekend!
xoxoxo
