This week's challenge with +LaDenna Lawrence was to use Styrofoam that she sent home with me the last time I visited her. (last month)
I have been seeing a lot of the painted wooden crosses in frames and wanted to try one. So, instead of a frame, I used the Styrofoam, covered it with paper and added a blinged-out wooden cross.
I finished the back out with paper and a hanger.
All in all, I liked the way it turned out!
My granddaughter, Lilly, helped me with painting the crosses! She chose the green. : )
Here is LaDenna's take on our challenge. I would've never thought of anything like this!
This vase is just beautiful!
What is great about these challenges is that the majority of the time, we come up with two totally different takes on the same materials! It keeps it interesting!
Also, this week I decided to expand on my card-making skills and learn new card folds. There are SO many different ways to make cards; therefore, I have plenty to learn!
Here are a few:
These are one layer cards. I'm in a group that swaps these monthly in different themes.
This is a tri-fold card. This being my first one, of course I goofed. It is backwards; but I like it so I'm sending it this way! lol The tutorial I used to learn this from Julie's Japes blog .

This is a tri-fold shutter card.
Here is the tutorial for it:
It looks a bit challenging but is very easy to do. I haven't decided how to embellish this yet.
This is my favorite so far. This is a side-step card. I love the way it turned out!
This is the side view of the "steps".

Pay him a visit too! : )
This has been a great week as far as creating! I'm leaving tomorrow to visit my friend, LaDenna in Amarillo, again. We always have a crafty good time!
Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to visit and comment!
I'll be back Friday with Friday's 5 Faves!
